Barry A. Vittor & Associates
Acquired in 2023, Barry A. Vittor & Associates is an environmental research and consulting firm known for its laboratory services in benthic ecology and its broad experience in wetland assessment and restoration. The company is one of the most sought-after firms in the nation for projects involving bottom-dwelling invertebrates and is also known for its work in wetland delineation, permitting, and restoration. Vittor and Associates was founded in 1977 in Mobile, Ala.
Burk-Kleinpeter – Alabama Operations
Thompson Engineering acquired the Alabama operations of Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc. in 2022. This strategic addition allows Thompson to expand services across the Southeast and strengthen capabilities in municipal infrastructure, site development, roadway/bridge design, and construction engineering & inspection services. The acquisition includes an office in Tuscaloosa, expanding Thompson’s footprint into the west part of the state.

Established in 1965, Meyer Engineers is an architecture and engineering firm helping communities, non-profits, and businesses thrive. Meyer Engineers specializes in architecture, engineering, construction management, and construction engineering and inspection services to clients in the federal, transportation, industrial, and municipal markets. Meyer Engineers joined the Thompson Holdings family of companies in December 2022.
